Description

Pocket Carbon Brush Holder, also known as brush pot, is a precision machined brass housing designed to house carbon brushes for industrial motors and generators. Made of cast silicon brass alloy, it features excellent electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance and mechanical stability under continuous vibration and temperature fluctuations.

The pocket inner liner adopts high-temperature phenolic insulation material to prevent short circuit. The built-in stainless steel compression spring provides steady, consistent pressure on carbon brushes, maintaining reliable sliding contact between brush and commutator / slip ring. This reduces electrical sparking, minimizes wear of carbon brushes and rotating contact surfaces.

Multiple standard pocket sizes are in stock; custom dimensions can be produced according to customer drawings or samples. Simple mounting structure enables fast brush replacement and lowers equipment downtime. Commonly fitted on GE, Alstom, Baldor heavy-duty DC motors, power generators and mining rotating machinery.
